Patient Story - Carrie R.

The peace of mind that comes from a low-risk result

TissueCypher result

Meet Carrie, a cancer survivor who was working through some gastroenterology issues. Following an upper endoscopy, her gastroenterologist informed her that she had non-dysplastic Barrett’s esophagus, a condition that carries a risk of esophageal cancer. Carrie’s physician ordered TissueCypher, a molecular test that would predict her personalized risk of esophageal cancer, and the results came back showing very low risk. Both Carrie and her physician were relieved, and they opted for a de-escalated approach to her care.

When those results came in and I found out that it was not only low but very low, I just kind of let out a breath of air that I didn't realize I was holding in and it just made me feel more relief.
